Presidents Message:

SWFL 10-13 meeting this Thursday, 12/17/09.

The dinner that was being planned for February or March has been canceled due to a number of issues.

For those who have qualified at the Collier County Gun Range, as you know they do not charge us and all they ask for is a donation to the Sheriffs Youth Ranch. If you haven't sent a donation yet or just wish to show appreciation for the way they handle us, we would like to take a collection and send it all at once under our letterhead. It is to our benefit to let them know we are using their range and that we help to support their cause.

Lee County will qualify Retired Officers on the last Friday of the month, 8 AM to Noon. The cost is $35.00, plus you must buy the ammo from them. They use a frangible ammo due to the range being indoors

The meeting has a scheduled start time of 7 PM. Refreshments and food are served. Sign in and kick in $5.00 to defray the costs of the meeting. That and the 50/50 help pay for the meeting along with our dwindling nest egg from the dues. Starting next month I'll be begging for the 2010 dues, $25.00, so start digging up some of the cans in your back yard.
